PICA is a leading manufacturer of Activated Carbon drawing on 50 years of experience. It has total expertise on the product and its life cycle (design, manufacture, servicing, application monitoring) and thus the ability to offer customized solutions. PICA has a worldwide presence and has a strong base in Australia since 1996 through its subsidiary Pica Activated Carbon Australia.

Redox is the proud distributor of 70% Glycolic Acid from the world’s leading manufacturer DuPont™.

DuPont™ Glycolic Acid combines a unique set of properties that makes it ideal for a broad range of applications Extremely efficient at cutting through hard water salts, it is a very effective cleaning agent with many added benefits, including low corrosion to most common metals, negligible odour and low toxicity.

Highly soluble in water, Glycolic Acid is also easy to rinse, readily dilutable at all concentrations and compatible with many additives. It is environmentally friendly, biodegrading at a rate of 89% in 7 days. Non-flammable by nature, Glycolic Acid is the versatile liquid that is both safer to handle and easy to use.

Some useful properties of Glycolic Acid –

  • Low corrosivity: most common metals and synthetic materials
  • Low toxicity: Oral LD 50 = 1938 mg/kg in rats
  • Low volatility: VOC exempt at < 0.1 mm Hg pressure at 25C
  • Low colour: very pale amber
  • Low odour: very mild burnt sugar
  • High compatibility: many compounds and additives
  • Precipitation point: -19°C for 50%; 10°C for commercial 70%
  • Water solubility: 2440 g/kg water (>99% glycolic acid) @ 25°C
  • High rinseability
  • High biodegradability: 89.6% biodegradability after 7 days
  • Nonflammability: will not burn
  • Chemical stability: most conditions except to active metals or strong oxidizers
  • Ease of handling: as a liquid easier to handle than oxalic or sulfamic acids
  • Technical support: partnered development for success probability

Also available is the 2004 (770Kb pdf), 2005 (3.2Mb pdf) and 2006 (1.9Mb pdf) Annual Reports.

Redox acquire CM Rural business

17 September 2007

We wish to announce that Craig Mostyn Pty Ltd have sold the CM Rural business to Redox Pty Ltd effective as of the close of business on Friday 14th September 2007.

This sale is seen by both parties as enabling each company to focus on their core businesses and better serve both customers and suppliers.

Redox will fulfil all pending sales and purchase transactions from the above date and looks forward to continuing the great service that CM Rural staff have been providing. The majority of CM Rural staff will transfer to Redox, so you will probably be talking and corresponding with the same people.

Amounts outstanding to Craig Mostyn at the above date will be paid to Craig Mostyn, whereas all future sales and purchases of CM Rural products will be effected in the Redox name.
